Mycological collection

This collection has about 4000 specimens of lichen. About three-quarters of the collection have been collected from Estonia. The remainder originate from Scandinavia and other parts of Europe. There are rare species, including a specimen that has been found only once in Estonia, as well as common species.

The oldest lichen in the mycological collection dates back to 1855. Currently, the collection is being added to mainly from the curator's own fieldwork.
